Dr. Nadine “Deanie” Singh, founder and CEO of Premier Mobile Health Services, has been named a graduate of distinction by her alma mater South University, a 126-year-old private university based in Savannah, Georgia.
The 2025 Alumni Achievement Award recognizes professional accomplishments as well as service to the profession, community and university. Singh received her master’s degree in family practice nursing in 2015, as well as a doctor of nursing practice degree in 2023 through South University’s online program.
Her master’s thesis focused on plans to open a mobile medical clinic that would bring frontline health care to the most vulnerable individuals. Three years later, in 2018, Singh started Premier Mobile Health Services, tapping her personal savings to buy the clinic’s first RV on eBay. The mobile health clinic on wheels now visits multiple locations each month in Fort Myers, Bonita Springs and Immokalee, with a Colonial Boulevard walk-in clinic open daily in Fort Myers.
“My time at South University was pivotal to the development of what is now Premier Mobile Health Services,” Singh said. “I’m deeply humbled to receive this award – especially to help shine a brighter light on the continued need for essential care among our community’s most vulnerable members.”
The alumni award will be presented at the university’s June 13 commencement ceremony. The award is only the latest recognition for Singh. In 2024, The Community Foundation honored her as its Nonprofit Executive of the Year and Gulfshore Business recognized Singh as a Health Care Hero. She serves on the board of the National Association of Free and Charitable Clinics.
Premier Mobile Health Services has treated more than 13,000 clients since its inception, providing frontline care during the COVID-19 outbreak and in the aftermath of Hurricanes Ian and Milton to low-income children, families, individuals and the uninsured.
Patients without insurance and those who provide proof of income below 200% of federal poverty guidelines account for two-thirds of its patients and are provided care at no cost; others in need pay on a sliding scale based on income.
The mobile clinic regularly visits several Lee County communities to provide care directly where its patients live, work and congregate. Locations include the Café of Life in Bonita Springs and the Gladiolus Food Pantry, Pine Manor Community Center and Florida SouthWestern State College campus in Fort Myers.
