Christina Harris SchwinnPavese Law Firm partner Christina Harris Schwinn will provide an employment law update on Friday, June 24 during the 2016 Hot Topic Seminar, hosted by Southwest Florida Chapter of Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) and Association of Government Accountants (AGA). The event will begin at 8 a.m. and will take place at Embassy Suites Fort Myers – Estero, located at 10450 Corkscrew Commons Dr. in Estero. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m.

Schwinn will provide a Legal and Legislative update on significant employment law cases from 2015, a legislative update regarding pending federal legislation, an update regarding Florida’s 2016 legislative session regarding the employment law bills that passed and did not pass, and an agency round up regarding agency initiatives including the National Labor Relations Board, U. S. Department of Labor and Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.

Registration for the event is $125 for IMA and AGA members and reduced early bird prices are available. Registration includes a continental breakfast and lunch. The seminar will provide eight Continuing Professional Education hours for CMA, CGFM, CPA and CIA et al.
