The ninth annual Bricks & Sticks Fishing Tournament, hosted by the Lee Building Industry Association took place at the Tarpon Point Marina in Cape Coral the weekend of May 6-7 a
nd raised a record of $14,234.46 for Builders Care during the live auction held in conjunction with the tournament. The donation will go toward the nonprofit’s efforts in providing emergency repairs and construction services to those in need.
The tournament saw 237 registered anglers on 70 boats competing for cash prizes. First place prize of $5,000 was awarded to Team Titos (Mitch Williamson, Kyle Potts, Michael Williamson and Christopher Magnano), second place prize of $3,000 was awarded to Team Better Buildings (Eric Carstensen, Mike Carstensen and Miles Meredith) and third place prize of $2,000 was awarded to Team Entegra Roofing (Dustin Parker, Brent Ferguson and Cliff Utt).

About Builders Care
Builders Care is the nonprofit charitable arm of the Lee Building Industry Association (BIA). Its mission is to provide emergency repairs and construction services to elderly, disabled and economically disadvantaged people who are unable to obtain home repairs through traditional means. To date, Lee BIA Builders Care has put more than $3.8 Million in construction services back into the community at no cost to homeowners in need. Builders Care enlists the volunteer services of Lee BIA members and leverages grants and donated materials to provide construction and remodeling services to qualified homeowners throughout Lee County.
