Follow the yellow brick road to Mercato’s new Piazza for a night of movie magic under the stars. Mercato has partnered with Alamo Drafthouse Cinema to launch its first Films Al Fresco outdoor screening, featuring the beloved classic THE WIZARD OF OZ on Tuesday, Nov. 18.
This free, family-friendly evening celebrates the upcoming release of the highly anticipated sequel WICKED: FOR GOOD at Alamo Drafthouse Cinema on Nov. 20, as well as the WICKED: FOR GOOD movie party on Saturday, Nov. 22.
Guests are encouraged to arrive early for pre-movie fun beginning at 4:30 p.m., including:
- The Alamo Drafthouse Cinema Prize Wheel and giveaways
- Free boxed popcorn for the first 50 guests
- Balloon animals and photos with Way Too Tall Torrie
- Face painting by Naples Art Factory
The movie begins at 5:45 p.m. Admission is free. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs for a comfortable viewing experience. Costumes and OZ- or WICKED-inspired attire are welcome.
The Films Al Fresco series is formerly known as Movies on the Lawn.
Mercato’s Piazza, which opened on Nov. 6, provides a vibrant backdrop for outdoor events, live music and community gatherings.
