Matanzas on the Bay presents inaugural Wine on the Waterfront Nov. 11

This Veterans Day, Matanzas on the Bay will host its inaugural “Wine on the Waterfront” event from 5 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 11, offering guests an evening of food, wine and live music. Space is limited, with tickets available for purchase online at www.MatanzasontheBay.com. A portion of the proceeds from the event will support Operation Open Arms, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the care and treatment of Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) in military personnel.

The “Wine on the Waterfront” event will feature an intimate food and wine tasting on the outside deck of Matanzas on the Bay, accompanied by Matanzas on the Bay’s popular waterfront views, a prize drawing, and local singer-songwriter and The Voice finalist, Sheena Brook, will perform throughout the evening. Guests will enjoy a unique sampling of premier wines from the regions of Argentina, California, Chile, France and Italy, skillfully paired with fresh, local seafood prepared by Matanzas on the Bay and other locally sourced cuisine.

The event will support the mission of Operation Open Arms, a 501(c)(3) charity and nationally acclaimed military outreach program that provides active, foreign duty U.S. service personnel every possible act of kindness through unique outreach services and PTSD mental health care within 30 days of returning home from deployment. For the past 12 years, Operation Open arms has continued to make a difference in the lives of more than 3,500 U.S. troops returning from combat or foreign duty stations, totaling $13.8 million in direct tangible benefits. For more information about Operation Open Arms and its efforts, visit www.OperationOpenArms.org.
