Bell Tower Shops will be THE place for Southwest Florida residents to gather on May 5 as the landmark destination hosts Cinco de Mayo and Kentucky Derby festivities on the same day.
The trifecta of shopping, dining and entertainment includes drink specials, giveaways and a hat contest on Saturday, May 5.
Cantina Laredo is planning a grand party in honor of Cinco de Mayo, offering $3 Mexican beers, $5 house margaritas and shot specials throughout the evening. The restaurant will have live music, prizes and giveaways for patrons.
Society will host two levels of parties, with DJ Ben Nigrelli downstairs and DJs Mambo and Carlos Higuera upstairs in Treehouse, hosted by Unique Latin Nights. Society will be offering $2.50 Coronas, $4 well margaritas, $8 Don Julio shots, $25 margarita pitchers and $35 Don Julio pitchers.
Shoeless Joe’s is hosting a Kentucky Derby party, allowing Churchill Downs to take over all 40 high-definition TV screens. In addition to drink specials, the eatery will host a Derby Hat Contest with prizes for the most creative, outrageous and ornamental derby-style hats. The race begins at 6:46 p.m.
