Lee BIA Builders Care is seeking sponsors and participants for its third annual Charity Clay Shoot on Dec. 6 in Punta Gorda.
The tournament offers individual shooters and shooting teams an opportunity to navigate a multi-station interactive course while completing specialty challenges and competing for prizes. The event is a major fundraiser for Lee BIA Builders Care, which provides emergency construction services at no cost to needy and deserving elderly and/or disabled homeowners, and their families, who cannot obtain repairs through traditional means.
The Charity Clay Shoot will be held Friday, Dec. 6 at Bermont Shooting Club, 40571 Bermont Road in Punta Gorda. Check-in begins at 8 a.m. All participants must attend a mandatory safety meeting at 8:40 a.m., and the tournament starts at 9 a.m. Following the tournament, participants will enjoy lunch, live music, raffle drawings and an awards ceremony.
For individual shooters, the cost to participate is $250 and includes lunch. The entry fee for a four-person team is $750 and also includes lunch for each participant.
LSI Companies is returning as the Presenting Sponsor for the third consecutive year. Additional sponsorship opportunities start at $150 and benefits for upper tiers include registration for a full four-person team with a cart, lunch and multiple promotional opportunities in advance and during the event.
To date, the Charity Clay Shoot tournament has raised more than $59,000 to support homeowners in need.
“100% of proceeds raised at the Charity Clay Shoot event will help provide life-changing services to homeowners who are in desperate need of home repairs and renovations,” said Becky Swift, executive director of Lee BIA Builders Care. “The critical need for housing repairs within our community continues to grow each year, and with support from our generous participants and sponsors, we’ll be able to help even more deserving families live safely and comfortably in their homes.”
