Lee BIA Builders Care announces sponsors, vendors for ninth annual BBQ, Bands & Brew

Lee BIA Builders Care, the nonprofit charitable arm of the Lee Building Industry Association (BIA), has released its initial list of sponsors and vendors for BBQ, Bands & Brew in April.

All Star Equipment Rentals & Sales is this year’s presenting sponsor for the April 8 fundraising event, which features live music from local headlining bands paired with food and drinks provided by local restaurants and vendors.

Other sponsors include Action Automatic Door, Banks Engineering, Barraco & Associates, Beattie Development, Cape Coral Plumbing, Ferguson Enterprises, Florida Hydronic Solutions Inc., Grabber Construction Products, Land Solutions, Lee County Electric Cooperative, Minto Communities, Moen, MW Horticulture Recycling, Plumbing Solutions of Southwest Florida, R.D. Food vendors at the event include Artisan Gelato by Norman Love, Big Smoke BBQ, Bobby’s Bangin BOB-B-QUE, BurgerQue, Cinnamon City, Famous Dave’s, Jonesez BBQ, Nawty Hogg BBQ, Smokin R’s BBQ, Currie’s Smokin’ Hot BBQ and Original Shrimp Dock. Three non-food vendors also will have a presence: Sattler’s Hats & Leather, Reel Islander Apparel and Lightmark Aerial.

“All proceeds raised at BBQ, Bands & Brew support our mission of providing emergency repairs and construction services at no cost to elderly, disabled and economically disadvantaged homeowners who are unable to obtain repairs through traditional means,” said Christi Pritchett, executive director of Lee BIA Builders Care. “Having all of these generous business partners involved in this year’s event is amazing, and their contributions truly will make a difference in our community.”

The ninth annual BBQ, Bands & Brew runs from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, April 8 at Centennial Park, 2000 W. First St. in Fort Myers. The event will feature a barbecue competition to name the “Best BBQ in Town,” and children’s activities will be held throughout the day. Admission is $10 per person, and children ages 12 and under are free. Tickets can be reserved by calling 239-938-0056 or emailing BBQ@bia.net.
