Leadership NEXT, a monthly program for advancing business professionals, will present a virtual program on “Tips and Resources for Redirecting Your Career Path,” to be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 8.
As the current job climate continues to change as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, many business professionals are switching gears to pursue new opportunities and career paths. Janeth Castrejon, communications manager for CareerSource Southwest Florida, and Rose Fuller, director of Florida Gulf Coast University’s Career Development Services, will offer tips and resources to help professionals redirect their career paths and stay marketable. The program will highlight trends in the job market, an overview of career assessment and job search tools, and helpful tips for marketing yourself to potential employers, writing standout resumes and preparing for job interviews.
Castrejon supports CareerSource Southwest Florida in its efforts to align employers with job seekers across Lee, Collier, Charlotte, Hendry and Glades counties. Prior to CareerSource, she served in the U.S. Army and worked for various companies within the financial industry. She earned a bachelor’s degree in communication with a concentration in public relations from Florida Gulf Coast University.
Fuller is a Global Career Development Facilitator and Certified Career Services Provider with extensive years of experience counseling students and alumni of all ages. Prior to joining the Career Development Services office at FGCU, Fuller worked for Elmhurst College and Loyola University Chicago and spent 10 years in management and sales. She earned her Master of Education in human services and counseling from DePaul University as well as her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
