April’s Leadership NEXT session will explore the art and business of beermaking through the eyes of a local brewer.
Leadership NEXT, a monthly program offering unique educational and networking opportunities for advancing business professionals in Southwest Florida, will visit Palm City Brewing on April 9 for insight about the challenges and successes in the region’s burgeoning craft beer industry. Participants will tour the brewery and sample some of its award-winning beers.
Founded in 2017 by Ryan and Marianne Bowen, Palm City Brewing features a selection of core beers and specialty beers from its tasting room in San Carlos Park. The business partners with locally operated food trucks to create a lively, yet relaxed, atmosphere for beer connoisseurs and novices.
The Leadership NEXT program runs from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 9 at Palm City Brewing, 7887 Drew Circle, Suite 120, in Fort Myers.
Ryan Bowen, Palm City’s brewmaster, and Marianne Bowen, who leads the brewery’s marketing efforts, will take Leadership NEXT attendees on a facility tour before a discussion about how they turned a hobby and passion into a successful family-run business.
Complimentary light appetizers and refreshments will be available, and attendees will be eligible to win prizes.
Leadership NEXT is a group of advancing professionals who represent a variety of businesses and industries throughout Southwest Florida. Monthly sessions take place from 5 to 7 p.m. on the second Tuesday of every month and offer opportunities to develop new knowledge and skills, establish working relationships with colleagues and engage in valuable programs and discussions to further enhance their careers. The Leadership NEXT annual program is sponsored by the Florida Gulf Coast University Alumni Association.
