Junior Achievement of Southwest Florida and The Lee County Bar Association have partnered to present Law Day 2016 to local high school students on Tuesday, Feb. 9 from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Lee County Courthouse, located at 1700 Monroe St. in Fort Myers. Free for Lee County high school students, the third annual Law Day will introduce students to various jobs and processes within the legal system, providing a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the Lee County Courthouse system. Students will have the opportunity to visit the Lee County Courthouse to observe the justice system in motion, meeting with legal professionals and gaining an inside look into law-related careers.
“Law Day provides students an informative, interactive and fascinating approach to learning about the legal system, and we are excited to once again partner with The Lee County Bar Association to bring this great opportunity to Lee County students,” said Angela Fisher, president and CEO of Junior Achievement of Southwest Florida. “The best way to learn more about a potential career path is to see it in action, and through this event, students will be able to see how the real justice system operates.”
