Chico’s reopens original store on Sanibel Island
Chico’s hosted a grand reopening celebration for its original location at Periwinkle Place on Sanibel Island. The brand’s iconic original store was severely damaged by Hurricane Ian in September 2022, and its reopening provided a jolt of economic confidence as the island continues its recovery. Priority Marketing coordinated the grand opening event and provided public relations, media relations, photography and videography services.

Tebows (plural) announced as keynote speakers for Community Prayer Breakfast
Tim Tebow is returning as a keynote speaker at the 2024 Community Prayer Breakfast in Fort Myers, and this time, he is bringing his wife, Demi-Leigh Tebow. Commemorating Florida Jewish History Month
In honor of Florida Jewish History Month, the Jewish Federation of Greater Naples hosted an in-depth look at the state’s Jewish pioneers, including members of the Confederacy. Marina Berkovich, president of the Jewish Historical Society of Southwest Florida, joined WGCU’s “Gulf Coast Life” for an extended conversation on the group’s efforts to preserve and promote local history.

United Way honors longtime philanthropist
United Way of Lee, Hendry, and Glades honored community philanthropist David Lucas for his longtime support dedicating its main campus in honor of the distinguished benefactor. Lucas, who was named an honorary United Way Board Member for Life in 2023, founded the local Alexis de Tocqueville Society comprised of the nonprofit’s top donors.

Awards and honors: Client recognitions
The Community Foundation announced recipients of its 2024 Board Leadership Awards, a premier event being held Feb. 6. Among the honorees are several Priority Marketing clients, including Marshall Bower at SalusCare, as well as boards at Horizon Foundation and United Way of Lee, Hendry and Glades.
Guadalupe Center’s college-preparatory Tutor Corps Program was honored by Reimagine Education as a finalist for the Access, Diversity & Inclusion Award. The competition is dubbed the “Oscars of education.”
