James Stephens Elementary School is offering a limited number of personal tours for prospective parents and students on Feb. 9, by appointment only.
The School District of Lee County’s annual open enrollment period runs through Feb. 25 and allows families to rank their preferred schools for the coming year.
James Stephens Elementary is a K-5 school that welcomes students from central Fort Myers, east Fort Myers and portions of Lehigh Acres and North Fort Myers. The school features innovative educational programs and activities focused on Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) instruction.
“James Stephens is fortunate to have an experienced group of dedicated, passionate teachers and staff who truly are the cornerstone of a successful learning environment,” said Principal Kelly Stedman, who recently was named Lee County Principal of the Year. “Elementary school is where students build a strong foundation for the future, so it’s important for parents to choose a school that offers the best chance for their children to succeed academically, socially and emotionally.”
