At Bell Tower Shops, the pooch party doesn’t stop when Cinco de Mayo is over.
This month’s Yappy Hour event celebrates “Once de Mayo” (Spanish for the 11th of May) with a dog-friendly fiesta for four-legged revelers who missed the fun while their owners celebrated Cinco de Mayo. Pet owners can enter their dogs in Bell Tower Shops’ fiesta-themed costume contest for a $5 donation to the Gulf Coast Humane Society; prizes will be awarded to the best-dressed dog.
The “Once de Mayo” Yappy Hour runs from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, May 11 at Center Court.
Bell Tower Shops, Southwest Florida’s dog-friendly shopping, dining and entertainment destination, holds Yappy Hour on the second Friday of each month. Yappy Hour is the area’s largest pet-friendly social hour, providing an evening of fun for pet lovers and their four-legged friends.
Live entertainment will be presented by DJ Robert McDonald in Center Court, in addition to a bounce house, sidewalk chalk station and lawn games for guests to enjoy. Cru will present the beer and wine for the evening; all proceeds from beer purchases will be donated to the Gulf Coast Humane Society. Omaha Steaks will also present a “Doggone Good Deal” – $2 hot dogs and $1 water bottles, with proceeds going to the Gulf Coast Humane Society. As merchant of the month for May, Cantina Laredo will provide Yappy Hour guests with special offers and samples.
Throughout Yappy Hour, visitors will have an opportunity to stop by dog-friendly sponsor stations and meet adoptable dogs from the Gulf Coast Humane Society.
