India Fest 2024 will bring a taste of South Asia to Southwest Florida for a daylong cultural celebration featuring a variety of festival favorites.
Set for April 6 at Caloosa Sound Amphitheater in Fort Myers, India Fest has returned after a five-year hiatus and has expanded to include an assortment of food and drink vendors, boutique shopping, a fashion show, live dance performances and a DJ rocking the riverfront stage. The event’s grand finale is a Holi Color Play, a traditional celebration of spring’s onset in which attendees throw handfuls of colorful powder on each other.
“India Fest is a vibrant celebration of culture and tradition,” said Renuka Devacaanthan, president of the India Association of Fort Myers. “It’s important for those with Indian heritage to stay connected with their roots, but also for the greater community to understand and appreciate the diversity here in Southwest Florida.”
India Fest will be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 6 at Caloosa Sound Amphitheater, 2101 Edwards Drive in Fort Myers.
