Hooters Fort Myers Pro Rodeo announces Grace Works Unlimited as 2019 nonprofit beneficiary

The Hooters Fort Myers Pro Rodeo has selected Grace Works Unlimited, a Southwest Florida-based organization, as its 2019 nonprofit beneficiary.

The seventh annual Fort Myers Pro Rodeo will be held Feb. 22-23 at Lee County Posse Arena in North Fort Myers.

Grace Works Unlimited is a registered 501(c)(3) organization with a mission to “encourage communities in the care of their own.” Grace Works coordinates community service programs, matches residents in need with helpful services, assists seniors with support programs, provides labor and materials to build accessible homes and offers enduring friendship to seniors. The organization is headquartered in Naples and serves residents in Collier, Lee and Charlotte counties.

“While many nonprofits raise money to help those in need, Grace Works Unlimited also coordinates volunteer groups and services that enhance the lives of Southwest Florida residents who are disabled, elderly and disadvantaged,” said rodeo organizer Margo Crowther. “The rodeo is proud to donate proceeds from this year’s event to such a tremendous organization.”

The Fort Myers Pro Rodeo, sanctioned by the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association, is a professionally choreographed, two-hour premier event that features bull riding, bronc riding, steer wrestling, roping, barrel racing and more. The rodeo begins at 7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 22 and Saturday, Feb. 23 at Lee County Posse Arena, 17401 Palm Creek Drive in North Fort Myers. Gates open at 5 p.m. on both days.

General admission tickets are $25 for adults, $12 for children ages 5-12 and free for children 4 and under. A limited number of VIP tickets are available for $75, and include preferred parking, access to a special VIP tent with unlimited food and beverages, and reserved seating areas. Tickets are being sold online at FortMyersProRodeo.com. Discounted tickets also are available at two area Hooters locations: 4411 Cleveland Ave. in Fort Myers and 3120 Del Prado Blvd. South in Cape Coral. Seating capacity at the arena is limited, so it is recommended to purchase tickets in advance.
