The seventh annual Hooters Fort Myers Pro Rodeo, sanctioned by the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association, will be held Feb. 22-23 in North Fort Myers.
The professionally choreographed, two-hour premier event will feature bronc riding, steer wrestling, roping, barrel racing, bull riding and more.
“Our stock contractor will be providing top-of-the-line bucking bulls and horses, and some of the country’s best cowboys and cowgirls will be competing for cash prizes and qualifying points for the pro circuit,” said rodeo organizer Margo Crowther. “This year, we’re bringing in an experienced announcer from Oklahoma and a clown act, so it should be an exciting evening of entertainment and fun for the whole family.”
Children can get into the action with mutton busting, where they try to ride a sheep, and a kids’ calf scramble in which children try their luck at corralling a calf. Adventurous attendees can channel their inner cowboy or cowgirl on the rodeo’s popular mechanical bull. Vendors also will be selling food, drinks and rodeo merchandise.
The Fort Myers Pro Rodeo begins at 7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 22 and Saturday, Feb. 23 at Lee County Posse Arena, 17401 Palm Creek Drive in North Fort Myers. Gates open at 5 p.m. on both days.
General admission tickets are $25 for adults, $12 for children ages 5-12 and free for children 4 and under. A limited number of VIP tickets are available for $75, and include preferred parking, access to a special VIP tent with unlimited food and beverages, and reserved seating areas. Tickets are being sold online at FortMyersProRodeo.com. Discounted tickets also are available at two area Hooters locations: 4411 Cleveland Ave. in Fort Myers and 3120 Del Prado Blvd. South in Cape Coral. Seating capacity at the arena is limited, so it is recommended to purchase tickets in advance.

- Silver ($2,500): six VIP tickets per day
- Chute ($2,000): four VIP tickets per day
- Event ($1,500): four VIP tickets per day
- Banner ($500): two VIP tickets for one day
