HF Scientific, a Watts brand and global producer of instrumentation, test kits and chemical reagents used for monitoring water quality in a variety of applications, led the company’s local efforts to raise support for breast cancer research.
In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, Watts committed to donating $5 to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation for each employee who wore pink. Locally, at HF Scientific in Fort Myers, employees paused to take a picture to capture and commemorate “Pink for a Day.”
“Our Fort Myers team was all in for Pink for a Day to bring awareness to the importance of breast cancer and screening exams, as well as to support our fundraising goals,” said Curtis B. Burks, operations leader for HF Scientific in Fort Myers. “With thousands of participants and hundreds of photo submissions company wide, this year was another great success.”
To celebrate the high level of participation, Watts has once again donated $25,000 on behalf of all its employees to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. These funds will go toward groundbreaking cancer research, advocacy and support for the millions of people impacted by breast cancer.
