Bell Tower, long known as Southwest Florida’s dog-friendly destination, is switching up species for a day.
On Saturday, June 15, Bell Tower is hosting a “Kitten Shower,” which will feature games, giveaways and adorable kittens that are up for adoption. The goal is to raise money and supplies for the Gulf Coast Humane Society, a local shelter that rescues animals, provides care and finds forever homes for dogs, cats, rabbits and other animals.
June is Adopt a Shelter Cat Month, which coincides with the time of year when cats give birth to more kittens and flood local shelters and rescue organizations. The Gulf Coast Humane Society has found new homes for dozens of cats and kittens in recent weeks.
Kitten Shower attendees are asked to bring much-needed supplies for the Humane Society, including kitten milk replacer (KMR Formula), Royal Canin kitten wet food, small rugs and beds, litter pans or cardboard box lids, cat and kitten toys, top-loading pet carriers, small food and water bowls, Dawn dish soap and paper towels. Guests who bring cat supplies or donate $5 to the Gulf Coast Humane Society will have an opportunity to guess how many kitty toys are in the jar, and one lucky winner will receive a Bell Tower Experience Package, which includes exclusive offerings from Bell Tower’s dynamic array of retail, restaurant and entertainment destinations.
For those who may need a safe and caring place for their feline friends while they’re away, considering professional cat boarding services is a great option. These services offer a secure environment where cats can receive the necessary care and attention, ensuring they remain comfortable and well-cared-for during their stay. Whether you’re heading out of town for a vacation or need to manage an unexpected event, cat boarding facilities provide a reliable solution for your pet’s needs.
Many boarding services go beyond basic care, offering amenities like cozy sleeping areas, interactive playtime, and personalized attention to keep your cat engaged and content. By choosing a reputable cat boarding service, you can have peace of mind knowing that your pet is in good hands and will be looked after with the same care and affection you would provide. This way, you can focus on your own activities without worrying about your cat’s well-being.
The Kitten Shower will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 15 at Bell Tower, 13499 S. Cleveland Ave. in Fort Myers. Sponsors for the Kitten Shower include 96.9 WINK FM, Trader Rick’s, Burntwood Tavern, Society and Norman Love Confections.
For those that prefer puppies over kittens, Bell Tower also will host its monthly Yappy Hour dog-friendly event, which has a Father’s Day theme, from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, June 14. Pet owners are encouraged to dress their pups in stereotypical dad attire and enter a costume contest. Proceeds from Yappy Hour also benefit Gulf Coast Humane Society.
