Gulf Coast Village is sponsoring a free Alzheimer’s Education Workshop to present information and options for individuals supporting those with Alzheimer’s, dementia and other neurological diseases that impact seniors.
The workshop, titled “Planning for your Quality of Life on the Path Ahead,” will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 3 at Gulf Coast Village’s auditorium, 1333 Santa Barbara Blvd. in Cape Coral. The workshop is free and open to the public, and is geared toward family members, caregivers and friends of those impacted by neurological disease.
Speakers from Gulf Coast Village will be joined by representatives from the Alzheimer’s Association’s Gulf Coast Chapter, Lee Memory Care, Senior Choice at Home and Interim HealthCare. Seminar topics include recognizing the warning signs of Alzheimer’s, what steps to take after the diagnosis, personalizing residential care choices, legal and financial plan options, and how to care for physical, emotional and spiritual health.
