Guardian ad Litem Foundation to host Trivia Nite on Nov. 1

Guardian ad Litem Foundation, 20th Judicial Circuit, will host a lively Trivia Nite on Nov. 1 to raise money for an essential program pairing volunteer advocates with abused, neglected and abandoned children.

Trivia Nite will be professionally managed by Spotlight Entertainment of SWFL and held from 5 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 1 at Bokampers Sports Bar & Grill, 8990 Fontana Del Sol Way in Naples. Trivia categories may include arts and entertainment, sports, science and nature, geography, history, riddles and more.

The cost to participate is $50 per person and includes an extensive appetizer buffet and drinks. Individual participants and teams are eligible to compete for prizes. Participants and spectators will be able to register for a 50/50 drawing. Tickets are available online: https://www.voicesforkids.org/events/trivia-nite.

“Trivia Nite is the first in a series of seven fundraising events that will generate support for Guardian ad Litem Foundation’s ‘I am for the child’ program,” said Roxanne Dyer, executive director for the region’s Guardian ad Litem Foundation. “More than one-third of local children in crisis do not have a volunteer advocate to serve as their voice in the courtroom, school and child welfare system, so the money we raise at these events will help serve more youth in Southwest Florida.”

Under Florida’s legal system, court-appointed Guardian ad Litem volunteers advocate for the best interest of children who have been abused, neglected or abandoned.
