Guardian ad Litem Foundation, 20th Judicial Circuit, will host its inaugural fundraising gala “Voices of Hope” in March 2020 to build awareness and support for programs that help local youth in the child welfare system.
The Voices of Hope Gala includes a dinner, entertainment and live auction, and will start at 6 p.m. on Saturday, March 28, 2020, at The Club at Grandezza, 11481 Grande Oak Blvd. in Estero.
Co-chairing the Voices of Hope Gala in 2020 will be Peter Knize, senior vice president of estate administration for The Naples Trust Company/The Sanibel-Captiva Trust Company, and Jennifer Siegal-Miller, an associate in the Naples law office of Henderson, Franklin, Starnes & Holt, P.A. Knize is vice president of Guardian ad Litem Foundation’s Executive Committee, while Siegal-Miller is a member of its Board of Directors.
Guardian ad Litem provides trained, court-certified volunteer advocates who serve as the “voice” for abused, neglected and abandoned youth in Southwest Florida as they navigate the judicial, education and child welfare systems. The Foundation raises money to recruit, train and support volunteer child advocates, as well as provide financial assistance to help meet a child’s basic and developmental needs.
“I am proud and honored to co-chair the very first Voices of Hope Gala,” Siegal-Miller said. “The dollars we raise at this signature event will bring the Foundation closer to its mission of providing volunteer advocates for every local youth in the child welfare system. These children are vulnerable and need our help, and we’ll be relying on the generosity of local businesses, organizations and individuals to make the Gala a success.”
“The Guardian ad Litem Foundation is making a tremendous impact on the lives of children in Southwest Florida,” Knize added, “and the Voices of Hope Gala offers an opportunity to raise awareness of the organization’s outstanding programs while also generating resources that will extend services to a greater number of local children.”
