Guadalupe Resale Shop is making it easier for residents of Pelican Bay, Naples Park and surrounding communities to drop off their donations.
The boutique is hosting a Collection Day event from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 16 at Pelican Bay Community Park. Volunteers will be on hand to collect donations of like-new furniture, home décor, kitchenware, artwork, lamps, linens, DVDs and CDs, books and all types of nearly new ladies and men’s clothing, including accessories such as jewelry, purses and shoes.
All donations to Guadalupe Resale Shop are tax deductible, and proceeds support Guadalupe Center’s mission of breaking the cycle of poverty through education for the children of Immokalee. Proceeds at the Resale Shop help fund Early Childhood Education, After-school Tutoring & Summer Enrichment, and Tutor Corps programs.
Pelican Bay Community Park is located at 764 Vanderbilt Beach Road, just west of U.S. 41 in North Naples.
“Pelican Bay residents are among our most loyal and generous donors, and their contributions over the years have helped provide thousands of local children with educational opportunities,” said Resale Shop manager Kat McNabb. “Having our Collection Day event right outside of Pelican Bay’s gates will make it easy and convenient for residents to donate, and we’ll have plenty of volunteers on site to help unload their vehicles.”
Recently, Guadalupe Resale Shop announced a new “Boutique Bash” donation program that allows party hosts to incorporate a charity collection event into their social gatherings. At the conclusion, the Resale Shop will send volunteers to collect all donations.
Guadalupe Resale Shop is located at 12980 Tamiami Trail N., Unit 10, in Naples. For more information, please call the Resale Shop at 239-594-2696 or visit GuadalupeCenter.org.
