The Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce’s monthly luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. on Tuesday, March 12 will welcome Florida Gulf Coast University President Dr. Aysegul Timur to share insights on the university’s strategic plans.
Recently installed as FGCU’s fifth president, Timur will talk about her vision for the future of the university and explore updated priorities and plans for the next five years.
An economist by training with more than 24 years of experience in higher education, Timur received her doctoral degree in business administration from the University of South Florida and both her master’s and bachelor’s degrees from the University of Instanbul. Her areas of specialization include business policy and organizational development, quality and continuous improvement, health and international economics. She was recently honored by the Florida College Access Network as one if its first Workforce Education Innovators.
The March Chamber luncheon will take place at Crowne Plaza Ft. Myers Gulf Coast, located at 9931 Interstate Commerce Drive in Fort Myers. Admission is $35 for Chamber members and $45 for future members and includes lunch.
