Greater Fort Myers Chamber to host virtual Get Connected Day April 23

The Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce’s popular annual Get Connected luncheon is returning on Thursday, April 23 with a twist. “Get Connected Day” will be held via virtual meetings, with new sessions hosted each hour from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. A special kick-off health session takes place at 7 a.m. with an at-home workout.

With programs aimed to help small businesses thrive in Southwest Florida’s current marketplace, distinguished industry professionals will cover a range of topics, including branding, wellness, human resources, crisis communications and more. Sessions will be 50 minutes each and will include Q&A.

Get Connected Day’s speakers and program topics include:

  • 7-7:50 a.m.: “How to Effectively Workout at Home” – Joseph McGilvrey, APEX Physical Therapy
  • 9-9:50 a.m.: “3 Tips for Improving Your Digital Marketing” – Samantha Scott, Pushing the Envelope
  • 10-10:50 a.m.: “Public Relations in COVID-19 World” – Melissa Mitchell and Holly Boldrin, Priority Marketing
  • 11-11:50 a.m.: “Healthcare… The New Frontier” – Barbara Saxton, Smart Choices Healthcare
  • Noon-12:50 p.m.: “10-Point Thrival Plan for Small Business Resilience & Recovery” – LaShaun Middlebrooks Collier, Florida Small Business Development Center at Florida Gulf Coast University
  • 1-1:50 p.m.: “Digital & Social Strategies to Engage Stay-at-Home Consumers” – Patrick Blake Renda, Edward Clay and Julie Koester, Dragon Horse Ad Agency
  • 2-2:50 p.m.: “Human Resources Issues Related to COVID-19” – Suzanne Boy, Boy Agnew Potanovic PLLC
