MY Shower Door, D3 Glass among nation’s fastest-growing private companies
A pair of businesses owned by the Daubmann family, MY Shower Door and D3 Glass, are repeat honorees on the 2024 Inc. 5000 list that celebrates the country’s fastest-growing, privately held companies.
It’s the eighth time in 10 years that MY Shower Door has made the list, and the second consecutive honor for D3 Glass.
“Inc. 5000 spotlights some of the nation’s biggest and best-known brands, so it’s difficult for family-owned businesses to compete for a spot,” said Bill Daubmann, president of MY Shower Door and D3 Glass. “To have two companies make the list in back-to-back years is an incredible feat because you need to sustain high levels of growth year after year.”
The Daubmanns founded D3 Glass in 2012 as a business specializing in the fabrication, tempering and lamination of glass. D3 Glass was listed at No. 3,172 with a 156% three-year growth rate.
Founded in 2003, MY Shower Door designs, manufactures, installs and warranties frameless shower doors and enclosures. The company operates nine showrooms across Florida, and recently opened its 10th location in Charlotte, North Carolina. Best known for its bi-monthly business magazine, Inc. ranked MY Shower Door at No. 4,086 on the Inc. 5000 list; its three-year growth rate from 2020-23 was 110%.
Both companies are headquartered in Fort Myers and service Southwest Florida and beyond. Bill Daubmann and his wife, Donna, along with their sons, Keith and Doug, help lead company operations with a team of non-family executives, managers and employees. Combined, the businesses employ 167 individuals across all locations.
Locally, D3 Glass was the 10th fastest-growing company based in Southwest Florida, according to Inc., while MY Shower Door was the 11th fastest-growing business in the region. The two companies rank No. 383 and 326, respectively, in Florida.

Inc. 5000 honorees will be recognized during a conference and gala held Oct. 16-18 in Palm Desert, California.
