Fort Myers Brewing Company to celebrate American Craft Beer Week with new brews

Fort Myers Brewing Company is celebrating American Craft Beer Week by debuting limited-edition, specialty brews each day.

American Craft Beer Week runs May 11-17 and is an annual celebration of small and independent craft breweries. Fort Myers Brewing was the region’s first microbrewery when it opened in 2013, and the locally owned business is launching an expansion that includes additional manufacturing and packaging areas, a large tasting hall, private event space, outdoor beer garden, plenty of parking and lots of green space.

To comply with current health regulations, Fort Myers Brewing is offering all of its craft beers and spiked seltzers as Grab-and-Go through a curbside pickup service. The brewery also is partnering with local food trucks to provide guests with to-go meal options.

“We have been blessed to continue serving our guests over the past few weeks, albeit in a much different setting,” said Jen Whyte, who co-founded Fort Myers Brewing with her husband, Rob. “Current conditions dictate that we can’t host large gatherings, but we still wanted to recognize American Craft Beer Week by celebrating the art of brewing and the ingenuity of our talented brewmasters.”

Fort Myers Brewing will debut a new beer or spiked seltzer each day during American Craft Beer Week. The beer schedule includes:

  • Monday, May 11: Mango IPA (mango-fruited American IPA)
  • Tuesday, May 12: Mr. C’s Coffee & Biscotti (creamy breakfast stout with delicious flavors of coffee and rich vanilla)
  • Wednesday, May 13: Raspberry Vanilla Sour (raspberry-fruited berliner weisse with flavors of vanilla)
  • Thursday, May 14: New Zealand NE IPA (Monteure and Motueka hops give it strong aromatics with tropical fruit, lime, grapefruit zest and piney flavors with a balanced bitterness)
  • Friday, May 15: Mr. Briteside (salted lime gose that mirrors a margarita’s flavor, but better)
  • Saturday, May 16: Cherry Limeade Spyk’d (hard seltzer with 0 carbs, 0 sugar and 90 calories)
  • Sunday, May 17: To be determined (brewmaster special)
