Funds to aid nonprofit efforts
Ferguson Enterprises recently raised $11,250 during its eighth annual golf tournament on June 4 at the Tiburon Golf Club in Naples to support the efforts of Builders Care, the nonprofit charitable arm of the Lee Building Industry Association (BIA). Funds will aid in providing emergency home repairs and construction services to elderly, disabled and economically disadvantaged homeowners in need. Including this year’s donation Ferguson Enterprises has raised $61,000 to date for Builders Care.
The tournament saw 29 teams comprised of 116 participants competing for naming rights of top team, with Jay Cartwright, Jason Becker, Phil Romano and Jason Kingwell of BCB Homes winning the tournament. Raffles and other activities at the tournament also helped to raise money for Builders Care. There was also an appearance by the Smith family who spoke on behalf of Builders Care as a past recipient of its services.
The event was made possible through the sponsorship of Ferguson Enterprises, Moen, Subzero/Wolf, American Standard, Suncoast Sales, Rohl, Thermasole, State Water Heaters, MTI, Everpure and Ronbow.
“At Ferguson, we pride ourselves on being vested members of our community. Partnering with Builders Care is a perfect way for us to be involved and give our support,” said Chris Brasher, regional manager of Ferguson Southwest Florida.
“We are so thankful to Ferguson for their ongoing support of Builders Care” said Christi Pritchett Sarlo, executive director of Builders Care. “The event was a success and will aid in our efforts of making a difference in people’s lives, one project at a time.”
