Margaritaville opens Fins Up! Beach Club
Margaritaville Beach Resort Fort Myers Beach made a splash by opening its Fins Up! Beach Club to hotel guests and the public. The action-packed oasis features a 15,000-square-foot lagoon pool surrounded by chaise lounge chairs and private cabanas, all overlooking the Gulf of Mexico with direct access to the beach. Poolside service is also available to order drinks and food. Priority Marketing helped coordinate a ribbon-cutting event and provided PR services to let the community know about day-pass options for Fins Up!

Bargain hunters flock to ReStore reopening
Habitat for Humanity of Lee and Hendry Counties completed an extensive renovation of its North Fort Myers ReStore after Hurricane Ian severely damaged the building and wiped out its entire inventory. Advance publicity and live television coverage of the grand reopening celebration on Feb. 2 helped draw a record number of shoppers that day.

Warrior Homes earns seat at the table
With a history of success in accomplishing its mission that no veteran in need is left behind, Warrior Homes of Collier earned a seat at the table – literally – with U.S. Sen. Rick Scott during a roundtable covering homelessness, rising rents and the impacts of Hurricane Ian. “We have a senior crisis on our hands,” said Warrior Homes Founder Dale Mullin. Priority Marketing helped promote the event to local media and also led media outreach efforts for an annual census of the unhoused in both Collier and Lee counties, as well as a dedication of its new Delta House in East Naples.

Naples jet crash leads national news
National news media covered the tragic jet crash on Feb. 9 along I-75 in Naples. At the time, Stephen Myers, executive vice president at Elite Jets, was flying and en route to Naples Airport. Priority Marketing connected Stephen with local media in need of an expert in private aviation to help explain safety measures that govern the industry. Although the incident claimed two lives, Myers assured the flying public that jets are still among the safest modes of transportation.

Painting the town
FPL’s 16th annual Power to Care Week consisted of more than 20 projects, including the LaBelle United Way House in Hendry County. Volunteers painted the building’s exterior to create a more welcoming environment for individuals and organizations that use the facility. Priority Marketing captured video and photos to share with media in addition to providing on-site media relations.

Record crowd focuses on Everglades restoration
The Everglades Coalition Conference attracted the largest crowd in its 39-year history and educated attendees about the progress on the full restoration of the Greater Everglades Ecosystem. Conservation groups, elected officials, business leaders, scientists and students, as well as partners at the local, state and tribal levels, were in attendance. Priority Marketing provided event management and public relations services for the conference.

A feel-good story for Valentine’s Day
Residents of Renaissance Preserve Senior Apartments were surprised with stuffed animals, friendly conversation and a lot of laughter to brighten their spirits on Valentine’s Day thanks to a partnership between Florida Senior Consulting, Senior Friendship Centers and the National Honor Society chapter at Fort Myers High School.
