Emily Golden: Going above and beyond

Teri Hansen and Emily Golden - FPRA Chapter Awards

In her role as Assistant Director of Public Relations at Priority Marketing, Emily Golden helps clients increase their awareness through public relations strategies, which include drafting and distributing news releases, contributed articles, guest opinions, blogs, media pitches and awards submissions. Emily also provides media training and counseling, media event planning and communications strategies for a diverse client base that includes nonprofit organizations, small start-up businesses and large companies.

Outside of the office, Emily has quickly become a leader within the public relations profession. After earning her Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) certification in 2022, Emily emerged as a Southwest Florida Chapter leader with the Florida Public Relations Association. She’s held leadership roles as Seminar Co-chair and Media Breakfast Co-chair, and is currently serving as Newsletter Chair. Additionally, Emily has volunteered as an FPRA Panel Presentation Evaluator for those seeking accreditation in public relations while simultaneously mentoring APR candidates as they pursue this process.

Given her commitment to FPRA, the organization’s Southwest Florida Chapter recently presented Emily with the Chapter Member of the Year Award, which honors members who go above and beyond in their commitment of time and energy to ensure the success of the chapter. The award recognizes members who embrace the creative thinking and opportunities for participation in chapter programs and projects while serving as a community ambassador, excelling at their profession and inspiring future PR leaders to learn and grow through FPRA.

Priority Marketing Founder and Chief Creative Officer Teri Hansen, APR, offered Emily’s introduction at the FPRA Southwest Florida Chapter Awards on Oct. 21 in Estero.

Congratulations, Emily!
