Investors’ Security Trust has appointed Ronny S. Taschner, DDS to its board of directors. Dr. Taschner practices in Fort Myers and focuses on diagnosis and treatment of periodontal disease, dental implants and periodontal plastic surgery. Born in Philadelphia, Dr. Taschner attended Temple University and Pennsylvania State University majoring in biology. Following his undergraduate education, he attended Temple University School of Dentistry. After earning his DDS degree, Dr. Taschner completed his residency in periodontology at Temple University School of Dentistry in Philadelphia. Dr. Taschner served as the Chief of the Department of Periodontology in the United States Air Force at Minot Air Force base before entering into private practice in 1975. He has practiced in Fort Myers since then and now practices with his daughter Dr. Jennifer Taschner.
Dr. Taschner received extensive training dental practice management with The Pride Institute. He has been a guest lecturer at Harvard University School of Dental Medicine and has lectured at both state and local dental society meetings on clinical periodontology and practice management. Dr. Taschner also organizes and administrates several study clubs for local dentists and hygienists, and has authored a chapter in a textbook in periodontics.
