Conservancy of Southwest Florida elects three new board members

The Conservancy of Southwest Florida members elected three local business and community leaders to its board of directors during its 55th Annual Members’ Meeting on Jan. 10 at the Conservancy Nature Center. Elected to serve four-year terms, the new board members are Stefan Bothe, Kimberly Leach Johnson and Tom McCann.

Bothe is the founder of Flexi Software, an accounting software company established in 1992, where he currently serves as its chairman and CEO. Originally from Germany, Bothe has resided in Naples since 2000 with his wife Jennie Cheng, who is also a former board member of the Conservancy. He is also an active supporter of the Connecticut Business and Industry Association, Connecticut Junior Republic, Naples Botanical Garden, Naples Yacht Club, No Barriers USA, Port Royal Association and The Port Royal Club.

Johnson is firm chair of Quarles & Brady and presides over the law firm’s Executive Committee. A trusts and estates attorney with more than 30 years in practice, Johnson is a five-time FIVE STAR: Best in Client Satisfaction Wealth Manager, a Top 50 Women Florida Super Lawyer, and a member of the Best Lawyers Advisory Board. She also serves on the boards of Anderson University in Indiana, Florida Gulf Coast University Foundation and Boggy Creek Camp for Seriously Ill Children.

McCann is a former vice president of public affairs for Bristol-Myers Squibb Company and former labor counsel and director of public affairs for the General Foods Corporation. He has a long history of involvement with many local and national organizations and is currently active with the Naples Planning Advisory Board, Collier County Coastal Advisory Committee, Mooring’s Park, Naples Botanical Garden, Community Foundation of Collier County and Collier Citizens Council.

The board of directors continues to be led by board chair Van Williams, vice chair Stephanie Goforth, treasurer Ed Eaton, and secretary Gerri Moll.
