Market Trends 2026 drew a sold-out crowd of 1,300+ attendees who heard a trio of real estate experts – Justin Thibaut, Denny Grimes and Matt Simmons – offer updates on the latest market data, research and fact-based analysis to help homeowners, homebuyers and real estate professionals understand trends in the real estate market. Priority Marketing created the event, and Market Trends 2026 marked the 27th time the firm has managed and promoted the region’s signature real estate event.

Federal Funding to Support Post-Ian Housing Improvements
Lee County’s Board of County Commissioners approved additional disaster-recovery funding to help relieve the region’s housing crisis following Hurricane Ian. The latest allocation covers rehabilitation projects for four developments managed by The Housing Authority of the City of Fort Myers, which previously was granted funding to help build three new developments. Habitat for Humanity of Lee and Hendry Counties also has received federal funding through the Community Development Block Grant – Disaster Recovery program.

A Garden That’s Always Blooming
Despite being one of Southwest Florida’s oldest attractions, Wonder Gardens in Bonita Springs continues to evolve. The one-time roadside zoo turned zoological park and botanical garden continues to host family-friendly events while adding new features, like animal habitats and most recently a chickee hut. The nonprofit’s CEO will soon be retiring and a search is underway for the next leader to carry the Wonder Gardens torch.
