Each month, Priority Marketing highlights a few clients who have raised awareness through public relations. Elevated visibility leads to increased sales, donations, volunteerism and buzz in the community.
Clients’ earned media coverage includes spotlights and interviews in newspapers, magazines, television, radio, blogs and social media.
This month, we are spotlighting media coverage for three clients – Family Initiative, the Library Pizza & Pub and Habitat ReStores. Public relations efforts ultimately helped all three clients reach their goals. Here is a behind-the-scenes look at those PR successes:
Family Initiative
Established in 2015, Family Initiative supports children with autism and strengthens their families. In addition to Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and Occupational Therapy (OT) services, Family Initiative offers autism playgroups, teen meetings, parent education, community conversations and child welfare caregiver programs.
Every year, April is Autism Acceptance Month, an initiative of the Autism Society of America to help everyone in the autism community connect with the support they need, when they need it. Priority Marketing helped Family Initiative promote its Autism Acceptance campaign by coordinating several in-studio interviews with TV stations along with media pitches and news releases that led to coverage in print publications.

The Library Pizza & Pub
New to Southwest Florida’s culinary scene, the Library Pizza & Pub offers pub-inspired dishes alongside classic American favorites from its fun, casual setting at Gulf Coast Town Center. Its menu is filled with specialty pizzas and pub favorites like fish and chips, sandwiches, salads, bowls, burgers, wings and more.
After a soft opening, the Library was ready for a big splash. Priority Marketing pitched and coordinated a “Foodie Friday” TV segment to explore the new restaurant’s offerings, lining up interviewees, establishing visuals, outlining segment topics and drafting points of emphasis. The firm’s Public Relations Team also helped the Library’s on-air talent prepare for segments by creating a list of possible questions and listing key talking points. The PR effort landed four full-length feature segments, a Facebook Live segment and several cut-ins that aired during morning broadcasts.

Habitat ReStore
Lee County is home to four Habitat for Humanity ReStores, which sell quality merchandise like home décor, appliances, housewares, lighting and more. While it’s widely known that donating to a nonprofit is a great way to declutter, few recognize that the ReStore can help customers declutter while saving money.
Priority Marketing helped ReStores increase awareness about the variety of home improvement products offered for sale, including paint and paint supplies, shelving, storage containers, bins and building supplies for DIYers. The firm pitched and planned a TV segment exploring items that could have TV viewers declutter and enhance their homes while also saving money. This boosted awareness about ReStores’ unique offerings to an audience that might not be as familiar with that side of the operation.
