Christina Harris SchwinnChristina Harris Schwinn and Scott Hill will present on employment law at noon on Wednesday, July 27 during the Tiger Bay Club of Southwest Florida’s July luncheon. The Tiger Bay Club of Southwest Florida is presenting the issue of “DOL Final Rule Minimum Salary Requirements for Exempt Employees: What employers need to know.” The event will take place at Harborside Event Center, located at 1375 Monroe St. in Fort Myers. The minimum salary for exempt employees is increasing from $23,660 to $47,467 later this year.  Schwinn and Hill will discuss the new overtime and minimum salary rules for exempt employees under the Fair Labor Standards Act and will address the effective date, strategies for implementing the new rule and time record keeping responsibilities, as well as highlighting that there is more to exempt status than the minimum salary requirements.
