Chocolate galore and sweet décor: Norman Love Confections’ 2022 lineup of chocolate classes begin May 6

Renowned chocolatier Norman Love and his award-winning culinary team at Norman Love Confections will be offering a delectable lineup of chocolate classes this spring and summer for a hands-on chocolate lovers’ experience.

Ideal for individuals and groups of friends looking for a unique social experience, “Cooking with Love” features 10 classes centered on artisan chocolates in which guests will learn the best techniques for creating delicious chocolate confections and more.

“Learn to make gourmet desserts in our world-renowned kitchens with our master chefs by your side,” said Norman Love, founder and owner of Norman Love Confections. “During the cooking class, students can expect an interactive and fun-filled evening where they will create sweet creations of their very own to take home.”

From May through September, classes will run from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the Fort Myers Chocolate Salon, 11380 Lindbergh Blvd. in Fort Myers. Tickets are $95 plus tax per person.

CHOCOLATE CLASSES

Truffles – Class of 21

Learn why the name truffle holds such an elegant and delectable place in the hearts of all! In this class, students will master the 100-year-old art of truffle making.  From the hand-formed luscious dark chocolate to the filled modern Swiss shell, you will create these treats all by yourself with the guidance of our chocolatiers and bring the finished treasures home to enjoy.

Molded Candies – Class of 21

Be a chocolatier for a night! Let the chocolate masters at Norman Love Confections teach you how to make the jewel-like treasures we are so famous for. With the guidance of our staff, students will be able to make everything from casting liquid chocolate and mixing the ganache filling to hand-coloring your own custom candies. Enjoy a night of sweet success and take home all your treasures when you are done.

Chocolate Confections – Class of 21

Watch and learn as we make some of our all-time favorite confections! During the class, students will learn how to make luscious truffle pops, fudge, caramel popcorn, vanilla marshmallow, and delicious fruit and nut-studded chocolate bark.

Dates: July 1, July 8, Sept. 9

 

Intro to Chocolate Décor – Class of 8

Start your understanding of chocolate and chocolate décor. The class will begin with an introduction to tempering chocolate and include a demonstration.  Using different techniques, students will make chocolate twists, petals, triangles and colored transfers, and decorate a chocolate mousse cake with the décor created.
