Child Care of Southwest Florida recently received a $35,000 grant from the Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation to help support education awards for children in its early learning centers in Lee and Hendry counties.
The grant will provide the families of more than 50 children with tuition assistance, empowering at-risk children with affordable, high-quality early learning opportunities. The funds also help to remove financial constraints that allow parents to pursue, maintain and enhance their careers while furthering their child’s education.

Created in 2004 by Best Buy Founder Dick Schulze, the Foundation awards grants to nonprofits with a focus on human and social services, education and health and medicine. In all its activities, the Foundation embraces its founder’s vision to strengthen and support initiatives that lead to change within the community.
Child Care of Southwest Florida is accredited through the National Accreditation Commission for Early Learning Leaders and is a Gold Seal Quality Care Program through the Florida Department of Children and Families. Additionally, centers maintain Level 5 and above scores on their CLASS assessments through the Early Learning Coalition of Southwest Florida.
