Chicken Salad Chick, a fast-casual, Southern-inspired chicken salad restaurant, is bringing back their “Donate a Meal” initiative for National Nurses Week, May 6-12, to honor the hard work and dedication of nurses in Southwest Florida.
Starting this week, with a donation of $9.99 online or in person, the restaurant will deliver one of their signature boxed lunches to feed a local nurse during National Nurses Week. Chicken Salad Chick will be matching every donation with an additional meal, as a way to thank those who take care of the community.
“These women and men have been our heroes for the past six months after Hurricane Ian, and what better way to show our appreciation than to deliver Chicken Salad Chick to them during National Nurses Week,” says Kendal Potesta, co-owner of Chicken Salad Chick locations in Fort Myers, Estero and Port Charlotte. “With these donated meals, we hope to bring a smile to their faces and let them know how much we value their hard work.”
The deadline to purchase a meal for a nurse is May 6. To donate a meal online, place an order on the Chicken Salad Chick website at one of the participating restaurants in Fort Myers, Estero or Port Charlotte, and select the “Donate a Meal” option on the menu. Due to the large number of meals being served, special requests for meals and deliveries cannot be accepted.
Chicken Salad Chick is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and closed on Sundays. For updates on local meal deliveries during National Nurses Week, follow Chicken Salad Chick locations on Facebook and learn more at Facebook.com/ChickenSaladChickFtMyersFL6MileCypress.
