Charity for Change’s fundraiser Enchantment in the Rainforest set for Nov. 16 in Naples

Charity for Change Gala, Enchantment in the Rainforest, will be held Nov. 16 at 6 p.m. at Quail West Golf & Country Club, located at 5950 Burnham Rd. in Naples.

The fundraising event with a rainforest theme supports more than 5,000 students throughout Collier County who participate in Charity for Change’s after-school, summer school, preschool and in-school programs. The enchanting event includes a cocktail hour with a silent auction, interactive trivia-style games, dancing and dinner.

The mascots for the program — Giver, an orangutan, and U2Can, a toucan — inspired the rainforest theme and reinforce the “fun” in Charity for Change’s programs and fundraiser. Attendees to the event can experience the wonder of the enchanted rainforest while supporting Charity for Change.

Giver Bingo will be played throughout the evening with the chance to win a $1,000 gift certificate to Capital Grille. A limited number of bingo cards for $100 will be sold in advance.

State Sen. Kathleen Passidomo and John Passidomo are honorary co-chairs, and Becky Sharon is the event’s chair. The event emcee is Lois Thome, news anchor for WINK-TV. The event’s committee members include Kathy Feinstein, Jennifer Lofstrand, Caroline Marino and Sonya Sawyer.

“By teaching children social-emotional learning skills, we are teaching them how to have healthy relationships, meaningful connections and how to be resilient,” said Sharon.

Sponsorships for the event are still available. Premium Sponsors include: Home-Tech; FineMark National Bank & Trust; First Florida Integrity Bank; Kathy and Eric Feinstein; and John R. Wood Properties.

Tickets are $250 per person, with tables of 8 for $2,000. For more information about the event, becoming a sponsor or donating visit https://e.givesmart.com/events/dJ4/ or call Karen Conley, 239-592-6787.
