Celebrate Love with a Romantic Evening at Shangri-La Springs’ Art & Nature Community Night “Roots” Feb. 14

Shangri-La Springs will offer a romantic evening of artistic and tasteful experiences at its Art & Nature Community Night “Roots,” on Wednesday, Feb. 14 from 6 – 9 p.m. The free event will feature a variety of activities and performances throughout the property including a Valentine’s Day three-course dinner and live performances and presentations of artistic works from local artists and musicians. The “Roots” event will feature award-winning painter Carol McArdle, recognized for her inspiring works-of-art highlighting natural Florida landscapes and wildlife.

Perfect for a romantic date night, the event will include a delightful Valentine’s Day dinner for $68.50 per person, available in the Great House from 6 to 8:30 p.m. The organic prix-fixe three-course meal, prepared by Artichoke & Company, a local full-service catering company, is available by-reservation-only, and will feature ingredients from the onsite garden. The event will feature an abundance of artistic performances and activities throughout the property, including the Longhouse and Courtyard, Oak Creek Lawn, Octagon Breezeway, Spa Lawn, and the Great House. Guests can enjoy locally brewed beer on tap from Momentum Brewhouse and organic wine at the bar in the Great House, as well as an all-levels yoga class at 7 p.m. in the Octagon and complimentary massage treatments in the spa.

The “Roots” event will feature live performances by Michael Oakland on guitar, an art installation, “Beating Heart” and video projection by Lily Hatchet accompanied by love poems recited by Zawi Borsa, operations and events manager of Shangri-La Springs. Guests will also have the opportunity to purchase local jewelry from Winnie Purple Jewelry and Hummingbird & Connie Jewelry Designs.
