Cancer Alliance Network to host charity helicopter golf ball drop at Golf Club of the Everglades

Participants can win up to $10,000; limited tickets available for purchase

Want a chance to win up to $10,000 while helping raise money for a good cause? One lucky winner could walk away with a five-figure cash prize when Cancer Alliance Network, a Southwest Florida nonprofit dedicated to supporting local residents battling cancer and their families, hosts its inaugural charity golf ball drop next month in Naples.

The Charity Golf Ball Drop takes place on Friday, Nov. 1, at 4 p.m. at the Golf Club of the Everglades, located at 8835 Vanderbilt Beach Road Extension in Naples.

Up to 500 numbered golf balls will be sold at a price of $100 each, with all proceeds – with the exception of the prize money – benefiting local cancer patients and their families in Collier and Lee counties through financial aid, resources and support.

The golf balls will be dropped from the sky by a Collier County Sheriff’s Office helicopter, with the winner determined by how close the ball lands to a predetermined hole, or if it lands in the hole. If multiple balls land inside the hole, the prize money will be equally divided.

Sponsors include the Golf Club of the Everglades’ Ladies Golf Association and Gulf Shore Cooling. Participants are invited to attend the event but are not required to be present to win. RSVP is not required. Parking is limited, and beverages will be available for purchase.

About Cancer Alliance Network

The mission of Cancer Alliance Network is to help individuals facing a cancer diagnosis receive the dignity and relief they deserve by offering non-medical financial assistance for essential living expenses, which may include rent, mortgage, car payments, utilities, gas and food. Since 2002, our support programs have served thousands of individuals with cancer and their families in Collier, expanding to Lee County in 2017 and now also serving children in Hendry and Glades counties. We strive for a community where those impacted with cancer and their loved ones can access quality support, at no cost to the family, as they navigate the financial strain and emotional stress of the disease and focus their attention on the fight against cancer.
