Brown & Brown Insurance of Southwest Florida charity golf tournament raises more than $30,000 for Child Care of Southwest Florida

More than 100 golfers recently came together for the third annual Brown & Brown Insurance of Southwest Florida Charity Golf Outing, raising more than $30,000 in support of Child Care of Southwest Florida, Inc.

Presented by Brown & Brown Insurance of Southwest Florida, the four-person scramble golf tournament featured a round of championship golf, breakfast and lunch at the Robert Cupp-designed LaPlaya Golf Club in Naples. Proceeds from the Charity Golf Outing benefited life-changing scholarship funds for children within Child Care of Southwest Florida’s education program, supporting the nonprofit’s mission to strengthen the lives of vulnerable preschool children and their families through quality and affordable early learning education.

“We had a remarkable turnout for our third annual golf tournament, and we are inspired by the abundance of support from our community,” said Chris Hansen, CEO of Child Care of Southwest Florida. “These funds will play an instrumental role in providing local children access to high-quality early learning education, and we are thankful for the community’s efforts to help us shape a better future for our children through affordable and effective child care programs.”

Sponsorship support for the 2018 tournament was led by Lee Health as platinum sponsor and World Event Promotions and United Healthcare as corporate sponsors. Additional supporting sponsors include ABS Distributors, AvAirPros, Cigna, Clinical Wellness Network, Enrollment Alliance, Henderson, Franklin, Starnes & Holt, P.A., Paychex, Peachtree Special Risk Brokers and Priority Marketing.

“We are proud to partner with Child Care of Southwest Florida on this initiative, as it helps raise funds and awareness for an important cause,” said Jason Cloar, executive vice president of Brown & Brown of Southwest Florida. “This is the third year we have done this event, and each year it continues to gain more traction thanks to our fantastic sponsors and participants.”
