Better Together, a nonprofit dedicated to families and children, is hosting three Christmas-themed celebrations for Tampa-area families throughout the month of December.
Better Together organizes programs at various locations to bring parents together for community, to support each other, and often hear from expert speakers. The celebrations will provide background-checked volunteers in addition to games and fun for children while parents attend the event. Throughout December, both parents and children can enjoy holiday fun, Christmas crafts and food provided by local vendors at each of the events. Every child who attends will also receive a Christmas gift.
The first event will be breakfast with Santa on Saturday, Dec. 14 from 9 a.m. to noon for families in the Spring Hill area. The breakfast will take place at Shady Hills Mission Chapel, located at 15925 Greenglen Lane in Spring Hill.
Then, on Wednesday, Dec. 18 from 6:30 to 8 p.m., Better Together will host A Better Christmas Gathering dinner for families in Pinellas County. The dinner will take place at Starkey Road Baptist Church, located at 8800 Starkey Road in Largo.
The last event will be A Better Christmas Gathering on Saturday, Dec. 21 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. for Hillsborough County families. The event will take place at Faith Life Church, located at 2702 E. Bearss Ave. in Tampa.
There is no cost to attend any of the events. To register for one of the Better Christmas Gatherings, visit BetterTogetherUS.org/ChristmasGathering or call 239-470-2733.
Better Together is also supporting families this year with Christmas gifts through its annual holiday toy drive. The nonprofit is now accepting donations from the community of new, unwrapped toys for children 0-17 years old.
