Better Together, Discover Life Church to host community job fair Aug. 2 in Melbourne

Better Together, a nonprofit dedicated to families and children, is partnering with Discover Life Church to host a community job fair for Melbourne-area residents on Saturday, Aug. 2 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Registration is now open for hiring employers and job seekers to participate in the August event. The church-based job fairs not only connect job seekers with local employers who are ready to hire but also provide resources to facilitate stronger connections and more hires. The Aug. 2 job fair will take place at Discover Life Church, located at 3550 W. Eau Gallie Blvd. in Melbourne. Job seekers and hiring employers can register at BetterTogetherUS.org/DiscoverLife or by texting “JOBS” to 844-987-3949.

The community job fair is part of Better Together’s “Better Jobs” program, which has helped more than 40,000 applicants connect with employment opportunities across 24 states. At job fairs hosted by Better Together, over half of attendee’s schedule or receive an initial interview at the events. So far this year, more than 2,600 interviews or initial jobs have been offered.
