Best-selling author Cheryl Strayed to speak in Naples April 24, benefiting Wellfit Girls

Event proceeds to support Wellfit Girls empowerment programs

Wellfit Girls, a Southwest Florida nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering teen girls, will host best-selling author Cheryl Strayed at 7 p.m. on Monday, April 24 for an exclusive speaking and book signing event at Venue Naples, located at 13240 Tamiami Trail N., Suite 205, in Naples. Proceeds from ticket sales will benefit Wellfit Girls’ five-month leadership, fitness and empowerment programs dedicated to inspiring, challenging and empowering teen girls to climb high in all areas of life.

During this inspiring event, Strayed will share harrowing and hilarious stories of her trek on The Pacific Crest Trail and her personal journey of healing and acceptance. The event will also include a silent auction and a book signing where guests can purchase a number of Strayed’s best-sellers, including Wild, Brave Enough and Tiny Beautiful Things: Advice on Love and Life from Dear Sugar. The event will be the first large event held at the new Venue Naples, Chef Brian Roland’s latest customizable, multi-use event destination and art gallery.

General admission tickets are $50, with ticket sales ending April 23. VIP tickets for ages 16 and up are $150 and include a VIP cocktail reception catered by CRAVE Culinaire and a meet and greet with Strayed from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. VIP ticket sales end April 20. Strayed is the author of the #1 New York Times bestselling memoir Wild, the New York Times bestsellers Tiny Beautiful Things and Brave Enough, and the novel Torch.
