Bell Tower Shops is teaming up with the Gulf Coast Humane Society to host Super Pug Fest Jan. 30, from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. in Center Court at Bell Tower Shops. The free event is open to the public and all breeds. Super Pug Fest will feature pet contests, a silent auction, vendor/sponsor activities and entertainment for pets and humans alike. The event is a fun dog-centered fundraiser with proceeds to benefit the Gulf Coast Humane Society (GCHS), a no-kill shelter located in Fort Myers. Admission is free, with a $10 donation to compete in a SUPER contest and a $5 donation for additional contest categories.
A variety of SUPER contests will take place throughout the Super Pug Fest including a Superhero Look-Alike Contest, which will honor all Marvel Comics characters in two categories: Ready Made Costumes and Hand Crafted Costumes. There will be a Super Powers & Skills Competition to showcase the pet contestant’s best super power skills to the audience and the Captain America Obstacle Course, a micro agility course that will attempt to defy super-dog abilities. For the hairiest mutts with wolf-like features a Wicked Wolverine contest will take place and HulkMania Madness will feature the largest and most incredible canines in Southwest Florida.
