Andrea Pleimling Smith named co-managing partner of Goldstein Buckley law firm

Attorney Andrea Pleimling Smith has been named as co-managing partner of Goldstein, Buckley, Cechman, Rice, Purtz, Smith & Smith, sharing the law firm’s leadership role with her husband, Christopher J. Smith.

Managing partners focus on short-term and long-term strategy, client relationships, fiscal and organizational management, business development and compliance issues.

Smith, a Wisconsin native, graduated summa cum laude in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science degree in history from Edgewood College before earning her Juris Doctor in 2010 from Marquette University Law School, where she was a Merit Scholar. That same year, she was admitted to both the Wisconsin Bar and Florida Bar. She also has been admitted to the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida.

Smith joined Goldstein Buckley in 2014 as an attorney and become a partner in 2017, and today she manages the firm’s rapidly growing legal offices in Cape Coral and Port Charlotte. Smith represents clients in pre-lawsuit and litigation cases, and her areas of expertise include personal injury, wrongful death, motor vehicle and motorcycle accidents, slip and falls, and spinal cord injuries.

“Goldstein Buckley has been Southwest Florida’s premier personal injury firm for more than 60 years, and it’s an honor and privilege to help lead the practice,” Smith said. “We advocate for our clients’ rights and strive to provide superior representation, but outside of the courtroom, our team prioritizes charitable causes that create a positive impact in our community.”

Beyond her role at Goldstein Buckley, Smith is a member of the Twentieth Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission, Florida Justice Association and Million Dollar Advocates Forum. Additionally, Smith volunteers her time as a Guardian ad Litem representing children in the foster care system and mentor for youth in foster care through the Florida Association for Women Lawyers. Smith, who is peer reviewed by Martindale-Hubbell, is past president of the Lee County Association for Women Lawyers and a former member of the Lee County Bar Association’s Executive Council.
