Alamo Drafthouse Cinema Naples is joining movie lovers nationwide in celebrating Godzilla Day on Monday, Nov. 3, marking the 71st birthday of the legendary King of the Monsters.

The Naples location will host a special screening of THE RETURN OF GODZILLA (1984), the first film in the franchise’s celebrated “Heisei” era. Originally released in Japan and later re-edited for U.S. audiences as GODZILLA 1985, the film remains one of the most beloved chapters in the monster’s storied history.

Guests attending the event can also take part in the theater’s exclusive Godzilla Day 2025 merchandise collection, created in partnership with Toho International. Limited-edition items include the first-ever Godzilla-shaped popcorn bucket, a Mothra Winged Mug, a Kaiju enamel pin set, and other collector’s pieces available in theaters and online at AlamoMart.com beginning Oct. 27.

“Alamo Drafthouse fans are Godzilla fans, and we couldn’t be more excited to celebrate this global pop-culture icon on the big screen,” said Chaya Rosenthal, chief marketing officer for Alamo Drafthouse. “This special event combines our love of cinema, collectibles, and community in a way that only Alamo can.”

Fans purchasing tickets before Oct. 17 will also have the opportunity to add an exclusive, limited-edition Godzilla Day 2025 T-shirt designed by artist Chris Bilheimer, available for pickup at the Naples theater on Nov. 3.
