Advocate Radiation Oncology opens cancer treatment centers in Fort Lauderdale, Pompano Beach

Cancer provider adds Dr. Evan Landau to its team of physicians

Advocate Radiation Oncology has opened cancer treatment centers in Fort Lauderdale and Pompano Beach to serve additional patients in Broward County.

The provider, which also has locations in Tamarac and West Palm Beach, operates 12 cancer treatment centers across Florida. Advocate is recognized statewide for its state-of-the-art, cutting-edge technology and world-class, board-certified physicians who provide treatments for breast, prostate, lung, head, neck and other types of cancers.

“Now with four cancer treatment centers in South Florida, we can bring our signature, compassionate care closer to the patients we serve,” said Dr. Arie Dosoretz, a board-certified radiation oncologist and founding partner for Advocate Radiation Oncology. “Hopefully the new locations will help minimize travel times so patients can focus on their health and overall wellbeing as they undergo cancer treatments.”

In addition to Advocate’s four locations in South Florida, the provider also operates eight cancer treatments in Southwest Florida.

To accommodate the new locations, Advocate has added Dr. Evan Landau to its team of accomplished physicians and researchers. Specializing in breast, colorectal, gynecologic, head and neck, lung and prostate cancers, Landau’s expertise includes CyberKnife, Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT), Image Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT) and High Dose Rate Brachytherapy (HDR).

Landau completed a bachelor’s degree in political science and biology from Brandeis University in Massachusetts and earned his medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. He completed his residency at Montefiore Medical Center, where he served as chief resident of radiation oncology. Landau, who is certified in radiation oncology through the American Board of Radiology, has been treating cancer patients in South Florida since 2011 through Broward Health Medical Center and Broward Health North.

Advocate’s South Florida locations now include:

  • Fort Lauderdale (1625 SE 3rd Ave., Suite 100 – Broward Health Medical Center): Dr. Evan Landau
