On Oct. 12, over 200 Southwest Floridians and country-lovers alike attended Community Cooperative’s 17th Annual Becoming Cosmopolitan: “Gone Country” event at The Ranch Concert Hall & Saloon in Fort Myers.
The event featured line dancing lessons every hour, food, cocktails, boutique shopping and a silent auction. Guests dressed in country-themed attire and were entertained by a DJ, a 360° photo opportunity and a photobooth.
Country cuisine was catered by G3 Catering in Fort Myers and included pulled pork sliders, shrimp cocktails, cowboy caviar and more. Glamorously themed cocktails were served out of the bed of a pickup truck. Clothing and jewelry vendors, including Kendra Scott, sold boutique country-themed outfits and accessories, as well as timeless jewelry pieces. Community Cooperative CEO Stefanie Ink Edwards gave a video presentation to welcome guests and to inform them about the organization’s mission.
“It was great to see so many community members, nonprofits and corporate sponsors come together for a night to support our community,” said Stefanie Edwards, CEO of Community Cooperative. “While having fun, we were able to support a cause that is greater than us.”
Proceeds for the event will go toward supporting Community Cooperative’s long-standing mission of putting an end to hunger and homelessness in Southwest Florida.
